The American Dream?

For some bizarre reason, half of the US wants to protect the corporations (the Republicans). I know that it is propaganda sold via TV, but let's recap: in the 1930s, capitalism failed and we were trust into a depression. within 80 years, it has happened again (2008). Capitalism creates polarization of wealth, is unstable, and is resulting in a shrinking of the middle class. I'm not making this up, we are witnessing it right now, AGAIN. corporations are convincing the tax payers that if their taxes are increased, they will move to another country. I say, good riddance! when FDR was in office, he raised taxes on the wealthy to 90%. guess what . they didn't move. know why? because in spite of the tax increase, they were still rich. Plus, the US is still the most awesome place to live. the wealthy know this.

CEOs in large companies frequently get 100 x the salary of the lowest paid employee. companies justify this by saying they need to hire "talent
". "Talent" is an person who can figure out how to rob the average Joe of yet more of his income and to figure out how to "find loopholes" in the system to pay even less taxes. In other words, "talent" translates into "crook". no corporation is on the side of the average person, and never will be. remember - everyone wants your money. if companies were interested in helping their workers, instead of outsourcing, they would revamp their system to be able to afford to stay in the US. but then, that's not the kind of "talent" they pay money for, is it?

About the "American Dream". 1% of the US has the most wealth. you have just as much chance winning millions with a lottery ticket as you do achieving the "American Dream" painted by the corporations and politicians. it's time to strive for the "American Reality" and change things - which starts by regaining control from the corporations.

Unemployment in the USA

Thoughts for the day: I think what most people (mainly Republicans) forget is that the reason for the unemployment crisis lies deep in a Capitalistic economy. First, capitalism will ALWAYS have periods of unemployment. Second, the corporations exploited the use of computers which replaced carbon units (people). That wasn't a bad thing, just an inevitable result of technology which put people out of work. Third, corporate greed resulted in outsourcing jobs to countries like China and India, (Mitt is doing this as I type), which put, and is putting, lots of US citizens out of work.

Some Stimulus Packages put out by the administration (present and past) are designed to encourage US citizens to spend money, thereby stimulating the economy. Think about this - if we have everything we need and don't buy stuff, the capitalistic system tanks. Actually, most people have everything they need, so in order to keep the ball rolling, we are brainwashed to buy what we WANT, or brainwashed into thinking it's what we need. The great thing about this setup is that, since we have everything we need, we, the Consumers of the United States have more power over the corporations than they will ever have over us. Heck, we can even make them go away! Just quit buying their crap.

So I guess what I'm getting at, before I got off on a tangent, is that the unemployment percent is going to take a long tome to come down - if it ever will. Maybe US citizens will have to move to China where the jobs are.

Convince me I should vote for Romney

This is simple. Romney needs all the votes he can get. Here's your chance to convince me that he is the right guy to run the country as of the 2012 election. Of course, any information you post will be researched by me, and if the facts are true, I may change my mind and vote for Romney instead of Obama. So far all I have gotten from Republicans are regurgitated lies from Faux (Fox) News and the Republican candidates. Please reveal to me any lies you have heard from the Democratic side. And PLEASE do your own research on non partisan web sites. Faux News is owned by huge corporations which tell their newscasters (I use the term loosely) what to say. Any source which is corporation owned is not going to be unbiased. this leaves public based sources. I realize that veering from Faux News is scarey for you Republicans, but take a walk on the wild side.

Jesusland

anyone in the red area will say and do anything to discredit the Democratic candidates. the reason for this is that their choice is based on belief instead of facts - just like their religion. Republicans are so desperate to have Romney win that they will lie shamelessly on the internet and other media, try to block legal citizens from voting, and generally crap on the democratic system. if Romney is the right choice, why not let him win on honest merits? What are you AFRAID of? that your beliefs are unfounded? WHAT I'D LIKE TO SEE: Let Romney and Obama go toe to toe in an honest race with no infringement on voting rights. May the most popular candidate win.

BREAKING NEWS:

During a 5 year residency in the state of Utah, it has been revealed that Romney had three sister wives.

Oh, what? You say that I am repeating a large lie so that the public will eventually consider it the truth?

I learned it from the 2012 Republic Convention.
